THE MEANING BEHIND THE DESIGN

Inspired by Isaiah 61:3, the design features a young Ponderosa pine and Spokane lilac growing together from the ashes.

The pine represents strength and new growth. The lilac represents Spokane. Their intertwined roots represent our faith, our families and the relationships that connect us to this place.

Fire can change the landscape.

In a season when so many people need comfort, we wanted the shirt itself to provide a little of it. Soft. Familiar. The kind of tee that already feels lived-in the first time you put it on.

The Comfort Colors 1717 is made from substantial 6.1-ounce, 100% ring-spun cotton. It is soft-washed and garment-dyed, giving it the relaxed color and vintage character of a favorite concert tee you have owned for years.

This is not a fundraiser tee meant to be worn once and forgotten. It was carefully chosen to be worn, loved and kept.

It may even become your new favorite shirt.

PRINTED TO AGE BEAUTIFULLY

Each shirt is printed in-house at Zome Design using water-based discharge ink.

Instead of placing a heavy layer of ink on top of the shirt, the discharge process removes the garment s original dye and deposits the print color within the cotton fibers. The design becomes part of the garment.

There is no thick, plastic-like print to crack or peel.

After washing, the print develops an exceptionally soft, vintage appearance that feels like it has been part of the shirt for years. As the garment continues to soften and age, the design ages with it.

Slight variations are part of the garment-dyed and discharge-printing process, giving every shirt its own lived-in character.
